The Falachan Cottage is situated right next to Our Pine Marten Cottage and is an experience by itself. The thoughtfully designed, Kath-Kuni style of architecture of the cottage, would keep you cool during the peak of summers and warm during the harsh winter months.

The cottage is located in the quaint hamlet named Faryadi, in the pristine Falachan or Phalachan Valley and is a short drive from the Tirthan Valley. The property lies in the eco zone of the Great Himalayan National Park. The area is surrounded by evergreens like Deodars, local fruit orchards and the magical views of the valley.

The Falachan Cottage is about 100 feet below the main road. Situated at the banks of river Falachan, a tributary of the Tirthan River, the cottage has easy access to the river and also has its own little pool with fresh flowing water served by the rivulet.

Named after the Falachan Valley, the cottage is often visited by numerous species of birds such as White Capped Redstart and Forktails. They can be seen on the rocks and river bed, looking for insects within the stones. Butterflies such as Common Mormon is another common visitor that is seen fluttering around the flora at our sit out area.

Tucked away from the hustles of busy towns, our Falachan Cottage is an ideal destination for tranquil times. Nature lovers, bird watchers and star gazers will have ample of opportunity to engage in all of this and much more.

The Falachan Cottage has 2-bedrooms with attached bathrooms, a separate kitchen area and a veranda overlooking nature’s bounty. You can also sit under the starlit sky and enjoy a cosy campfire.

Our humble and welcoming hosts Chandu and his wife Indira live at the location and take great care of all the guests. You can request them to prepare up some local Himachali delicacies or ask them to arrange for the highly recommended local Trout, sourced from the Trout Farm nearby.
